The Superior Court of California, County of Stanislaus (Court) has stopped producing microfiche/microfilm; however, the Court still uses its old microfiche sheets to locate cases filed with the Court. This projects aims to convert the microfiche sheets and microfilm rolls into digital format.

The Court is seeking a vendor that can provide an innovative solution. The Court seeks a vendor that can propose a solution that will provide a cost-effective means of digitizing the Court’s inventory while maintaining quality and ease of use for the end-user. The Court intends to digitize its Index Sheets, then microfilm reels and finish with the microfiche sheets.

It is the intent of the Court to enter into a contract with a single vendor. The selected vendor will perform the specified conversion starting with the microfilm rolls until completed or until funds have been exhausted. It is the Court’s intent to enter into an agreement that allows for two (2) one-year option terms beyond an initial two-year term (for a potential term of four (4) years) to allow for the vendor to continue service should money become available in subsequent years.

The Superior Court of California, County of Stanislaus (Court) is replacing the audio system in nine (9) courtrooms. The overall system design will be coordinated by the Court and is further defined in the Section 2.0, Description of Goods and Services. The vendor will be responsible for all components, hardware, cables, terminations, connectors and any other part(s) needed to make this a complete and functional system.

The purpose of this Invitation for Bids (IFB) is to obtain a qualified contractor to design, provide and install an audio system for courtroom departments: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 10, 11 and 14 (9 total courtrooms). These courtroom departments are located at the Court’s main courthouse, 800 11th Street, Modesto, California. The contractor must have at least five (5) years of experience with A/V design and build, audio integration and calibration and IR emitter systems.

The Court expects the services described in this IFB to be performed in a fashion that does not impact Court operations. This may include performing services after hours and/or on weekends.

The Court expects the selected vendor to be able to perform maintenance services and requests that vendors supply hourly rates for these services, as well as for services of additional work not included on plans or specifications within this IFB. The initial term will run through June 30, 2014 and the hourly rates quoted are expected to be valid through this date. The option-1 term is expected to be July 1, 2014 through June 30, 2015 and the option-2 term is expected to be July 1, 2015 through June 30, 2016.

The Superior Court of California, County of Stanislaus (Court) is located in Modesto. The Technology department of the Court manages the audio-visual technical infrastructure and systems for the Court.

Integrated audio-visual (AV) systems and equipment exist at the civil branch, located at 801 10th Street, Modesto, in the Clerks’ Office and departments 21, 22, 23 and 24.

The AV systems in the courtroom are used to provide audio reinforcement and video display for the public hearings and oral arguments, assistive listening for the hearing impaired, audio and video teleconferencing for remote presentation, courtroom recording and some ancillary court functions.

The purpose of this invitation for bids (IFB) is to select one vendor to provide and install an audio-visual solution that will update the AV system in Department 22. The system shall function similarly to the systems currently in departments 21, 23 and 24.

The Court expects the services described in this IFB to be performed in a fashion that does not impact court operations. This may include performing services after hours and/or on weekends.

The Court expects the selected vendor to be able to perform maintenance services and requests that vendors supply hourly rates for these services, as well as for services of additional work not included on plans or specifications within this IFB.
